Turece Fleece is a record book for sheep, shearing days and fleece weights. It is built to work in a wool shed with no signal, so the app keeps your flock records on your own device and does not send them anywhere.
Turece Fleece is published by Lucas Mercer, an independent developer. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app. It applies to the Turece Fleece mobile application only, and not to any other website, service or app you may reach from it.

Turece Fleece is an offline-first, on-device record keeper. When you register a ewe, open a shearing day, log a fault, weigh a cut or build a bundle, that entry is written to a local database inside the app's own private storage area on your phone or tablet.
The app does not include a server component. There is no Turece Fleece account, no cloud sync built into the app, and no background upload of your flock records. If your device is in airplane mode in the middle of a shed, every feature — the shearing day screen, the weigh room, the sorting table, the class table, the Season Book and the Season Chart — continues to work exactly the same.

Because no personal data is transmitted off the device, there is nothing for Lucas Mercer to look up, hand over or lose. The developer has no way to see your flock, your weights or your season history.
Your phone's operating system may include app data in its own device backup — for example iCloud Backup or Android Auto Backup — if you have that feature switched on. Those backups are made and encrypted by Apple or Google under their privacy policies, not by Turece Fleece, and the developer cannot access them.
If the app offers you a way to export or share a season summary, that action only happens when you deliberately tap it, and the file goes wherever you send it — your own mail app, a messaging app or a file store. Once you hand a file to another app, that app's own terms and privacy policy apply to it.
You hold the records directly, so you exercise your rights simply by using the device:
Because the developer holds no copy of your data, requests to access or delete data must be carried out on your own device. If a device backup exists, remember to remove it through your Apple or Google account settings as well.
Turece Fleece is a tool for people who manage livestock and is not directed at children. No age information is collected. Under data protection law such as the GDPR, if you enter personal details about other people into your own private records, you act as the controller of that information; the developer processes nothing on your behalf.
Records are protected by the sandboxing and encryption your operating system applies to app storage. Keep your device locked with a passcode or biometric lock. No system is perfect, and physical access to an unlocked device means access to whatever the device holds.
If this policy changes — for instance if a future version of the app introduces an optional sync feature — the updated policy will be published here with a new effective date, and any new data handling will be described plainly before it is switched on. Optional features that transmit data will always require your explicit action to enable.
